Job Description: Python Automation Engineer
Location: Brookfield Bangalore
Work Mode: Onsite (Work from Office)
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Alternate Saturdays off)
Working Hours: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM
Experience Required: 12 Years
Joining: Immediate to 30 Days
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Python Automation Engineer with strong programming and automation expertise. The role involves building and maintaining automation frameworks developing API automation and contributing independently to automation solutions under technical guidance.
The ideal candidate should have real-world Python automation experience and be comfortable working in CI/CD-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain automation scripts and reusable frameworks using Python
Build and enhance automation for REST-based APIs
Independently own assigned automation tasks and deliver quality solutions
Collaborate with leads and engineering teams to understand automation requirements
Maintain clean modular scalable and reusable automation code
Review automation code written by other team members when required
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
Package and deploy automation tools and frameworks using Docker
Required Skills and amp; Qualifications
Python (Core Requirement)
Strong hands-on experience in Python
Good understanding of:
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Modular and reusable framework design
Exception handling logging and debugging
Performance-aware and asynchronous programming concepts
Unit testing and test automation best practices
Code quality readability and maintainability
API Automation
Strong experience in automating REST APIs
Hands-on experience with Python libraries such as
requests httpx or equivalentUnderstanding of API request/response validation and workflows
Familiarity with backend frameworks and FastAPI-based services
DevOps and amp; Engineering Practices (Must-Have)
Strong knowledge of Git (version control)
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab or similar
Ability to integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with Docker for packaging and deployment
Good-to-Have Skills
UI automation experience using Selenium (Page Object Model cross-browser testing)
Exposure to Playwright for UI automation
Basic working knowledge of Java and/or JavaScript
Understanding of API authentication retries mocking and automation best practices
Domain Exposure
Experience or interest in SaaS-based platforms
Exposure to AI / ML-based platforms is an added advantage
