Job Summary

Job Title: Release Manager

Location: Hartford CT (Hybrid / Remote)

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

7 years of experience as a Release manager specializing in software application delivery and at least 2 years of experience in Healthcare industry.
Plan the release of project deliverables and manage the release lifecycle.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development QA and operations to ensure smooth releases.
Coordinate with Change manager incident manager.
Schedule and manage release windows and cycles across multiple portfolios or components.
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact release scope quality or timelines.
Conduct release readiness reviews milestone reviews and go/no-go assessments.
Develop and maintain release schedules ensuring alignment with stakeholders and vendors.
Create and manage deployment plans run books and implementation strategies.
Oversee the execution of deployment plans and lead go-live activities.
Maintain a repository of release-related documentation including procedures dependencies and notification lists.
Collaborate with release engineers to manage code merges branches and impacts.
Continuously improve release processes by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices.
Communicate release plans updates and changes to stakeholders effectively.
Ensure compliance with quality benchmarks and organizational standards.
Manage post-release activities including reviews and identifying areas for improvement.
Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline the release process and ensure efficiency.
Experience in Agile management.
ITIL Certificate preferred.
