Job Summary

Job Description:

As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer you will:

  • Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components.
  • Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications.
  • Define operation sequences tooling gauging and machine requirements for precision part fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot shop floor issues including tooling gauging work holding and inspection challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility.
  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements.
  • Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
  • Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment.

To be considered for this role heres what youll need to bring:

  • A bachelors degree in a technical field with 3 years of relevant professional experience or an associate degree with 6 years of relevant professional experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of proven professional experience
  • Proficiency in CNC Milling Machining including multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation

Itd be great if you also had:

  • A degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Background in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with machine automation integration
  • Skills in inspection of machined parts
  • Hands-on experience machining stainless steel titanium and aluminum
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
