Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate deeply technical and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define and drive Region Flexibility initiatives and drive fundamental architectural changes across the whole Amazon software stack. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap using Agile and incremental delivery methods.

Key job responsibilities
Amazons Regional Flexibility Engineering team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager passionate about service-oriented architectures who wants to support Amazons businesses innovate quickly at scale. We enable Amazon businesses to operate across multiple AWS regions. We guide teams auto-create deployment infrastructure enable traffic movement across these regions and add observability for the best customer experience service availability cost-efficiency and in support of legal compliance requirements. Our vision is to accomplish all of this with zero or minimal effort from our builders.
You will work with AWS technologies and optimize our deliveries with ROI in mind. As an innovator who embraces new technology you will directly influence product design and the user experience. You will be supported by a large and experienced community in your work with cross-cutting teams and technologies.
Your role will require guiding our organization and partners alike. You will identify risks and opportunities in technical strategies and develop plans to address them. You will create execution plan coordinating implementation across organizations monitoring progress and ensuring program success. Come help us create and evolve the abstractions that make developing software at Amazon simple and flexible.
About the team
The Regional Flexibility Engineering (RFE) organization supports the rapid global expansion of Amazons infrastructure. Our projects support Amazon businesses like Stores Alexa Kindle and Prime Video. We drive adoption of ever-evolving AWS and non-AWS technologies and work closely with AWS teams to improve AWS public offerings. Our organization focuses on robust and scalable solutions simple to use and delivered with engineering best practices. We leverage and build foundational infrastructure capabilities tools and datasets that enable Amazon teams to delight our customers. With millions using Amazons products every day we appreciate the importance of making our solutions just work.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company Amazons package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical dental vision prescription basic life & AD&D insurance) Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) paid time off and other resources to improve health and well-being.
