The QA/QC Executive (Analyst) will be responsible for Raw Material (RM) In-Process and Finished Goods (FG) analysis ensuring that all products comply with FSSAI specifications and internal quality standards. The role involves laboratory testing documentation instrument handling and coordination with production to maintain consistent quality and food safety at the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material (RM) Analysis
Conduct physical chemical and analytical testing of incoming raw materials as per approved specifications.
Ensure timely release or rejection of raw materials based on test results.
Maintain proper sampling testing records and traceability documentation.
Coordinate with stores and procurement for quality-related observations and deviations.
Finished Goods (FG) Analysis
Perform routine and batch-wise testing of finished goods to ensure compliance with internal standards and FSSAI specifications.
Verify quality parameters before FG release for dispatch.
Conduct retention sample analysis and stability-related checks as required.
In-Process Quality Control
Carry out in-process quality checks during blending grinding and packing operations.
Monitor critical quality parameters and report deviations to QC Manager and Production team.
Support process improvement initiatives to minimize quality variations and rejections.
Laboratory Testing & Instrument Handling
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments including:
o HPLC
o GC
o Hot Air Oven
o Acid Insoluble Ash
o Moisture ash and other routine analytical equipment
Ensure calibration cleanliness and proper usage of laboratory instruments.
Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.
Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all products meet FSSAI standards and specifications applicable to spices and masala products.
Support regulatory inspections audits and sample submissions as required.
Maintain updated records related to testing compliance and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of test reports registers COAs and logs.
Prepare daily weekly and monthly quality reports for review by QC Manager.
Ensure adherence to SOPs specifications and quality manuals.
Deviation Handling & Continuous Improvement
Assist in investigation of quality deviations non-conformities and customer complaints.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in internal audits hygiene audits and GMP compliance activities.
Desired Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of spices quality parameters and analytical testing
Hands-on experience with HPLC GC Acid Insoluble Ash Hot Air Oven
Good understanding of FSSAI regulations and food safety requirements
Knowledge of GMP GLP and basic FSMS
Strong analytical documentation and reporting skills
Ability to work in a plant-based cross-functional environment
