Description
This full-time on-site position offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage a dedicated team while ensuring the highest standards of patient care during one of the most critical times in their lives.
As the Nurse Manager you will play a vital role in overseeing the Labor and Delivery department ensuring operational excellence and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients. This position involves not only clinical oversight but also strategic planning and coordination of resources to enhance service delivery. You will collaborate with various healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and maintain compliance with medical regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Labor and Delivery department
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient care quality and improve clinical outcomes
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate staff development
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for the department
- Address patient and family concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Stay updated on best practices in labor and delivery nursing
Requirements
- Must have 5 years of L&D experience.
- NRP ACLS BLS AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Some type of leadership experience
- Thorough understanding of OR processes and L&D protocol
- No hits on nurse license
- Experience in other nursing areas such as ICU.
- Been in the nursing field 10 years
