The Opportunity

Our QLD COLORBOND production facility is looking for a Process Engineer to join our Processing and Logistics team based in Acacia Ridge Queensland. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio this fast-paced site operates a continuous production this busy site that handles over 500000 tonnes of steel per year you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

In this 24 month fixed-term contract you will be the process equipment expert and ensure paint line assets are operating in accordance with established standards with due regard for safety the environment quality and unit costs and to maximise painted steel production.

Youll support the day-to-day operations of the plant as well as investigating and implementing process improvement projects whilst championing a safety-first culture. You will have the unique opportunity to acquire invaluable exposure to a broad variety of systems equipment and business areas all while being a part of Australias largest steel solutions provider.

What Will You Do

With your willingness to learn we will support you with on-going training and development. This role works Monday to Friday day shift.

With your analytical hands-on approach you will:

  • provide process engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the plant
  • investigate and implement process improvement projects
  • deliver continuous improvement outcomes to support the production and supply of our products
  • play a key role in ensuring we meet environmental targets
  • be a part of the process engineering network across BlueScopes various sites
