Job Summary
Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional International Road Maintenance Specialist / Team Leader to join our team to support an upcoming project in Georgia. This assignment aims to develop a Road Maintenance Strategy and Road Maintenance Guideline to improve the efficiency and capacity of the road sector in Georgia. The overall scope and deliverables of the project will include the following tasks:
- Mobilization and Inception
- Review of Current Road Maintenance Practices
- Preparation of a Road Maintenance Strategy
- Preparation of a Road Maintenance Guideline
- Capacity development for Roads Department Staff
The Road Maintenance Specialist / Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating all tasks and activities of the assignment and will be responsible for preparing the draft and final deliverables and presenting these to the Road Department. The candidate will also be responsible for the following:
- Assessing current maintenance practices and needs.
- Proposing improved maintenance approaches.
- Preparing maintenance contract templates and specifications for the road network in Georgia.
Qualifications :
- Must have a masters degree or higher in civil engineering or another relevant field.
- Must possess minimum of 10 years of experience in road maintenance preferably in both developed and developing countries.
- Must have minimum of 5 years of experience as Project Manager or Team Leader.
- Prior experience in road maintenance engineering and design road maintenance implementation inspection and preparation of road sector policies strategies and/or plans.
- Experience with EU road maintenance practices and approaches will be preferred.
- Regional experience in South Caucasus and Central Asia countries will be an advantage.
- Must be fluent in English and shall be skilled in report writing.
