The Chief Technology Officer role
The Chief Technology Officer will lead the effective and efficient delivery of Beyond Banks technology and digital functions ensuring strong operational performance a high performing team and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This role requires deep experience in managing cyber risk overseeing complex vendor environments and operating within member focused or mutual organisations.
We are looking for a special person who can operate in both a hands-on strategic level simultaneously and brings proven people leadership experience along with runs on the board in terms of successful technology change and delivery. Also a deep understanding of the impacts of AI and its relevance to an organisation of our size and complexity. You will champion cooperative ways of working and be comfortable with constructive challenge and critical thinking.
In this role you will
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives with simple and bold measures of success.
- Role model and lead the BBA leadership behaviours.
- Oversee BBAs technology and business intelligence cyber and digital operations.
- Be responsible for key relationships and management of vendors.
- Drive change thought leadership and continuous improvement across the organisation using technology as an enabler for change.
- Lead the business intelligence team.
- Drive our digital and AI agenda in an approach reflecting our size nature and complexity.

You will thrive in a fast paced highly regulated financial services environment demonstrating adaptability resilience and a collaborative solutions focused approach. You bring a strong member lens ensuring technology contributes to strategic value and exceptional member outcomes. Experience working with regulators or operating within a regulatory framework will be highly regarded. An obsession with delivering the brilliant basics for Colleagues and members.
