Job Summary
Public Storage is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Facilities and Asset Management organization. This role will be a key partner in driving expense and capital financial planning and analysis supporting forecasting close activities and executive reporting. The ideal candidate is analytically strong collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced data-driven environment.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting improving forecast accuracy and delivering clear insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead expense and capital FP&A responsibilities including monthly and quarterly close quarterly forecasts and the annual operating plan
- Prepare and communicate variance analysis management reporting and required corporate deliverables
- Partner closely with the Data Analytics team to maintain existing reports and develop new tools that enhance forecast accuracy and provide senior leadership with actionable guidance.
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure costs are recorded accurately and propose journal entries as needed
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as business needs arise
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Investment Banking or a related field
- 35 years of relevant financial analysis or FP&A experience
- Proven experience building strong cross-functional relationships at all organizational levels
- Experience with Tableau Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Experience working with SAP Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of SQL or similar querying languages (preferred not required)
