As a Resident Engineer you will be an integral part of our customer-facing team. You will play an important role in the successful integration of Boschs automotive technologies from initial product specification and bench / vehicle testing to Start of Production (SoP) and Series care after SOP.
You are acting as the critical link between our advanced engineering teams and the OEM. You will provide essential first-level technical support proactively addressing customer needs. Furthermore you will coordinate comprehensive second-level support by leveraging our global and local engineering networks ensuring seamless collaboration and optimal product performance in the OEMs next-generation vehicles.
What you do:
You work with engineers at Bosch and on customer site to specify calibrate and evaluate products of our Cross-domain Computing Division for infotainment.
In the early project stages you elicit requirements from Japanese OEMs and share them with Bosch project team. When first products are available you release software to the OEM reproduce and investigate issues support root cause analyses and consider countermeasures together with our global team of Bosch engineers to update and reevaluate the software.
You improve your technical social and AI competencies continuously in our diverse trainings and via your daily task execution.
Qualifications :
Mandatory:
- Engineering Foundation: A robust engineering background with foundational knowledge in either software or hardware development ideally within the automotive sector.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Verbal and written command of both English and Japanese (JLPT minimum N1).
- Customer communication: Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and Mobility: Willingness to be based at customer locations and undertake occasional business travel as required by project demands.
Valued skills:
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with automotive diagnostic and evaluation tools (e.g. CANoe) and project management platforms (e.g. JIRA)
- Mobility: A valid driving license
