Job Summary

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced counsellor to join our team on a part time basis (2 days per week hybrid model).

As a Fertility Counsellor youll provide essential emotional and psychological support to individuals and couples navigating their fertility journey. Youll be a trusted point of contact helping patients manage the complex feelings that often accompany fertility treatmentfrom initial diagnosis through to treatment this role your scope of duties will include;

  • Provision of counselling through video and phone calls face to face sessions and group programs
  • Liaising with doctors nurses and scientists to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  • Participating in staff education programmes to enhance staff knowledge and understanding of the patients experience
  • Process improvement to help enhance the patient experience

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Social Work or Psychology and bring a minimum of five years counselling experience in infertility grief and loss or a health-related field. Youll have skills across a variety of therapeutic approachesincluding CBT ACT narrative therapy group counselling and stress management strategiesand be willing to become a member of the Fertility Society of Australia & New Zealand (FSANZ) and the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA).
