The Auckland Bioengineering Institute is seeking an excellent Administrator/Receptionist for an onsite role to join their Administration support team based on 70 Symonds Street City Campus.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a varied role where no two days are the same. As our goto administrative superstar you will support staff students and visitors while keeping the Institute running smoothly behind the scenes.

From welcoming people at reception to managing inductions and departures coordinating keys and access cards organising travel and room bookings handling purchasing and mail arranging catering and assisting with building maintenance you will be at the heart of our operations.

This is a Permanent full time 37.5 hours per week contract.  The salary range for this role is a band B $55634 - $56700 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

You will be the friendly face and organisational backbone of our busy innovative environment. Bringing your proactive peoplefocused approach to the role and enjoy juggling a broad range of administrative responsibilities this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a worldleading research environment.

You will be able to:

  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Prioritise tasks meet deadlines and manage high workloads during peak periods while maintaining excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Show initiative think ahead and exercise sound judgement in a busy and reactive environment.
  • Demonstrate strong administrative and systems capability including the use of multiple systems proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel) financial reconciliation and updating web content.
  • Demonstrate effective relationship management and strong interpersonal skills.
  • University of Auckland experience in similar roles will be an advantage.

The Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) is a multidisciplinary research institute within the University of Auckland known for combining worldclass research with realworld impact in health and biomedical engineering.

Reporting into the Institute Admin & PG Sup Team leader  this is a highly collaborative closeknit and supportive team with strong working knowledge of the University and its operations which in turn support the wider team of engineers scientists clinicians and professional staff who work closely across functions to achieve shared goals.
