DevSecOps Senior Architect

About the Role 

Join us as a Senior DevOps Architect for a fintech product company building a cloud-native core banking and payments SaaS platform for the European this high-impact role you will own the strategic design and implementation of our DevOps ecosystem ensuring our platform is scalable reliable secure and built for speed. With deep expertise in cloud infrastructure automation and CI/CD youll lead by example mentor engineers and shape our engineering culture. Youll architect enterprise-grade DevOps solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments enabling seamless delivery of a platform that handles sensitive financial transactions under strict regulatory standards. 

This is a hands-on leadership and architecture role where you will influence technology choices drive operational excellence and ensure DevOps practices are embedded across the product lifecycle. 

What Youll Do (Responsibilities) 

1. Architect Enterprise DevOps Solutions: Design and implement large-scale DevOps architectures across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP) with a focus on scalability reliability and cost efficiency. 
2. Drive CI/CD Excellence: Build optimize and standardize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI Jenkins ArgoCD etc.) to enable secure high-availability releases with zero-downtime deployments. 
3. Automate Infrastructure: Lead infrastructure automation using Terraform Ansible and Helm ensuring infrastructure-as-code practices are consistently applied. 
4. Champion DevOps Governance: Define and enforce DevOps governance standards and best practices across development and operations teams. Establish guardrails for compliance (PCI DSS GDPR PSD2) and operational security. 
5. Embed Security & Resilience: Collaborate with architects developers and security teams to integrate DevSecOps practices ensuring systems are hardened compliant and resilient to failures. 
6. Lead Containerization & Orchestration: Drive adoption of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization orchestration and workload scaling. Define strategies for microservices deployments and service discovery. 
7. Implement Observability & Reliability: Build and enhance monitoring logging and alerting frameworks (Prometheus ELK Grafana CloudWatch). Apply SRE principles to track SLIs/SLOs/SLAs and improve reliability. 
8. Evaluate Emerging Tech: Continuously assess new DevOps tools and technologies (service mesh GitOps AI-driven automation) and integrate them where they add value. 
9. Mentor & Influence: Guide and coach DevOps engineers fostering a culture of automation learning and operational excellence. Act as a thought leader for DevOps across the organization.

2. CI/CD & DevOps: GitLab CI/CD Jenkins ArgoCD Docker Kubernetes. 
3. Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus ELK stack Grafana CloudWatch. 
4. Security & Governance: DevSecOps practices compliance (GDPR PCI DSS PSD2). 
5. Collaboration Tools: Jira Confluence Git-based workflows (GitLab/GitHub).

Qualifications :

Qualifications

1. Extensive DevOps & IT Experience: 15 years in IT including 8 years in DevOps and 3 years in an architect-level role. Proven success in designing DevOps solutions for complex distributed systems. 
2. Cloud Platform Mastery: Deep expertise in AWS Azure and GCP with hands-on experience in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. 
3. Infrastructure-as-Code Skills: Strong proficiency in Terraform CloudFormation and Ansible with experience in Helm charts for Kubernetes workloads. 
4. CI/CD Expertise: Solid track record with Jenkins GitLab CI ArgoCD and other modern CI/CD tools. You can design and optimize pipelines for security speed and reliability. 
5. Containerization & Orchestration: Expert in Docker and Kubernetes with a deep understanding of scaling clustering and workload distribution. 
6. Security & Networking Knowledge: Solid foundation in networking system administration and security hardening across cloud-native platforms. 
7. Agile & DevSecOps Mindset: Experience working in Agile environments embedding DevOps practices into development lifecycles and adopting DevSecOps approaches. 
8. Leadership & Collaboration: Strong communication stakeholder management and leadership skills. Capable of influencing teams driving alignment and mentoring engineers. 
9. Cloud and DevOps certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure DevOps Expert CKA/CKAD). 
10. Proven experience deploying and managing microservices on Kubernetes including Helm-based packaging and rollout. 
11. Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio Linkerd) and microservices-based deployments. 
12. Familiarity with SRE practices incident response error budgets chaos testing. 
13. Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (Python Go Bash) for automation and tooling
