Job Summary
Food & Beverage Captain - Portobello
This is a full-time permanent position beginning in February 2026.
The Food & Beverage Captain will be responsible for assisting the Management Team with the daily operation of Fairmont Chateau Whistlers outlets maximizing service delivery in all areas of the department.
Starting Rate of Pay: $19.75 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.20.
Job Duties Include:
- Ensure the overall smooth operation of F&B outlets
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients
- Consistently up-sell to exceed our guests expectations
- Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit
- Motivate lead coach and monitor the performance levels of all team members
- Participate in the training of new team members
- Provide support to the management team and F&B Division as required
Qualifications :
- 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant setting
- Experience in a high-volume environment is required
- Leadership skills accompanied by an ability to solve problems effectively
- Serving it Right BC required
