Position Summary:
The Senior MOCVD Process Engineer supports GaN epitaxy mass-production operations at the GlobalWafers (GWC) foundry. This role ensures stable MOCVD production performance drives process and yield improvements and supports partnership alignment between Renesas and GWC. The engineer will work closely with equipment process and manufacturing counterparts to maintain high-quality epiwafer output and operational efficiency.
MOCVD Operations & Process Support:
- Assist GWC Foundry in the daily operation and monitoring of MOCVD equipment to ensure stable and safe production performance.
- Support Renesas and GWC engineers and supervisors in epitaxy process development and mass-production execution.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and process parameters ensuring alignment with documented plans and checklists.
Data Analysis & Yield Management:
- Establish and maintain a systematic yield reporting dashboard for ongoing production and engineering activities.
- Assist in monitoring process parameters and yield trends using appropriate analysis tools.
Change Management & Documentation
- Support monitoring of Process Change Management activities including Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Material Review Board (MRB) actions.
- Assist in writing and maintaining process records production documents and foundry compliance documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in process-improvement projects related to epitaxy working closely with partnered equipment process and manufacturing teams to meet production goals.
- Collaborate with foundry teams to monitor epiwafer costs and help drive cost-reduction initiatives aligned with Renesas objectives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in electrical chemical or similar engineering discipline. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in GaN epitaxy process engineering.
- Familiarity with AIXTRON MOCVD system operation and recipe editing preferred.
- Solid understanding of GaN epitaxy process fundamentals including process control metrology interpretation and yield-affecting mechanisms.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in both Mandarin and English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and statistical analysis tools (JMP preferred).
- Solid understanding of Statistical Process Control and data analysis.
- Six-sigma green or black belt certification is a plus.
