Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute in vitro or ex vivo experiments to validate novel targets using cell lines & primary human cell sources.
  • Perform cell culture (suspension & adherent) & assays including but not limited to: DNA/RNA/protein purification siRNA/CRISPR knockdowns Lentiviral transfections immunoprecipitation WES western blot ELISA MSD HTRF quantitative PCR protein degradation & colorimetric assays.
  • Collect analyze & summarize data for presentations & reports.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of new technologies & relevant scientific advances in tumor dependencies & its roles in cancer from literature & scientific meetings.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

Must have a Masters degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology Cancer Biology Pharmaceutical Sciences Pharmacology or related field & 2 years of experience as a Scientist. Of experience required must have 2 years: (i) performing mammalian cell culture in a biosafety level 2 environment; (ii) performing (a) western blotting immunoprecipitation WES or ELISA (b) DNA/RNA isolation RT-PCR separation techniques for primary cells & (c) gene expression analysis; (iii) handling & processing human tissue samples for biological assays; & (iv) developing optimizing & troubleshooting cell-based assays. Of experience required must also have 1 year: (i) manipulating gene expression by CRISPR methods in cancer cell types; (ii) utilizing the biological data analysis software tool: GraphPad Prism & at least one of the software tools: Excel Image Studio Spotfire or Compass; & (iii) documenting experimental procedures & methodologies for regulatory filings. Work experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary: $125508.24 - $138500.00 per year
