Sr. ML Engineer

Visa Technology & Operations LLC a Visa Inc. company needs a Sr. ML Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin Texas to

1. Extend Visas AI as a Service platform to the Public Cloud MultiCloud and On-Premises environments.
2. Enhance and optimize existing codebase and development procedures.
3. Develop new solutions.
4. Utilize experience with public cloud multi-cloud on-premises and AI/ML production systems.
5. Utilize programming languages including Go Rust Java Python.
6. Utilize model inference engines including TensorFlow Serving Triton or other AI accelerators.
7. Build large scale distributed high performance systems.
8. Position reports to the Austin Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

• Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an ML Engineer-related occupation.
• Position requires experience in the following:
  1. Public cloud multi-cloud on-premises and AI/ML production systems;
  2. Programming languages including Go Rust Java or Python;
  3. Model inference engines including TensorFlow Serving Triton or other AI accelerators;
  4. Building large scale distributed high performance systems;
  5. Cloud Platforms like AWS GCP or Azure;
  6. Containerization and Orchestration;
  7. Kubernetes;
  8. Big Data and streaming technologies like Flink Amazon Simple Queue Service or Kafka;
  9. General Software Development;
  10. Developing new solutions; and
  11. Cutting-Edge AI Techniques for Generating Synthetic Data in Privacy Sensitive Machine Learning.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $130700.00 to $202300.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
