Job Description

The General Manager of Nuclear Engineering is the senior leader responsible for directing and overseeing all engineering functions that support the safe reliable and efficient operation of the nuclear power plant. This role provides strategic leadership technical oversight governance and alignment of engineering programsincluding design engineering systems engineering programs engineering nuclear fuels engineering and procurement engineering. The General Manager ensures all engineering activities comply with federal regulations licensing commitments industry standards plant procedures and the highest standards of nuclear safety and operational excellence.

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all plant engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with NRC regulations licensing requirements industry standards and plant procedures.
• Oversee system health design changes safety evaluations equipment reliability and long-term asset planning.
• Lead and develop a highperforming engineering organization.
• Support daily operations and emergent issue resolution with strong technical expertise.
• Manage engineering budgets staffing and external technical resources.
• Foster a strong nuclear safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

What You Have

Minimum Requirements

• Baccalaureate in engineering or related science
• Power Plant experience which shall include 4 years
• Nuclear power plant experience to include 4 years
• Supervisory or Management experience to include 3 years.

Special Requirements:

Shall meet one of the following: Hold a Senior Operators License or Have held a Senior Operators License or Have been certified for equivalent Senior Operator Knowledge or Have plant operational knowledge consistent with the requirements of the engineering managers job;

During the years of nuclear power plant experience the individual shall have participated in supervisory or management activities at a nuclear power plant during the following periods:

1 month of operation above 20% power

1 month of routine refueling outage

Initial plant startup testing or post refueling outage startup testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nuclear Mechanical Electrical or related engineering field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 1015 years of nuclear power plant engineering experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Deep knowledge of nuclear plant systems design basis regulatory requirements and engineering programs.
• PE license and/or SRO/SRO-equivalent knowledge preferred.
• Strong leadership communication and decision-making skills.
