The Opportunity:
As the Contracts Coordinator you will serve as the subject matter expert on research contracting arrangements while providing specialized support to both the Support & Operations Contract Team and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team within the Office of Research. You will assist the Support & Operations Contract Team through the preparation review and negotiation of complex funding agreements (e.g. industry-sponsored projectsFARcontracts and international contracts) and non-monetary research contracts. Additionally you will assist the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team through the review of option and license agreements and the monitoring of existing agreements for contractual compliance.

This is a full permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4508.70 - $6763.06 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Ability to assess business and legal risk make independent decisions based on sound judgment and collaborate with other offices/officers to problem solve and address cross-cutting issues.
Ability to interpret explain and apply complicated rules regulations and policies.
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Experience establishing priorities.
Experience managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
JD or Masters degree in a related field.
