Position Summary and Qualifications:

Through Saint Josephs University the Estadt-Lubert Collaborative is pioneering a healing ecosystem in Kensington grounded in supportive housing integrated healthcare and social wellness. Reporting to senior leadership the Capacity Building Coordinator will play a critical role in identifying and mapping services for unsheltered individuals experiencing substance use disorders in the neighborhood. This position will be responsible for networking and strategic relationship-building with key stakeholders and community providers. Further the Capacity Building Coordinator will support stronger collaboration integration communication and capacity building across partners in the community (e.g. Mother of Mercy House).

This role emphasizes trauma-informed and harm reduction-based service delivery and requires strong program coordination community engagement and community-driven efforts to continuously improve services for some of the citys most vulnerable addition it will provide administrative support to senior leadership. This position is grant or gift funded and the longevity of the position is reliant on the availability of these funds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify integrate and develop high-quality services aligned with the Collaboratives values for the unsheltered individuals experiencing substance use disorders

  • Engage with individuals with lived experience to inform program improvement

  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with community-based organizations supportive housing sites and healthcare providers to support integrated care

  • Represent the Collaborative at stakeholder meetings and community forums

  • Coordinate Drop-In program at Mother of Mercy House on Mondays and Tuesday from 9 AM to noon including managing budget and administration.

  • Engaging students at SJU to volunteer advocate service learning by creating opportunities for student involvement in Kensington. Track participation

  • Produce a newsletter twice a month whose primary audience is the existing non-profits serving unsheltered people in Kensington.

  • Coordinate in-services quarterly for non-profit partners

  • Provide Administrative support to Joan and S. Mary including calendar correspondence managing listserv writing monthly report on capacity building.

  • Maintaining donor fife and correspondence

  • Track spending against budget for capacity building program. Provide quarterly report for budget vs actual

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Public Health Nonprofit Management or related field

  • Demonstrated commitment to harm reduction and trauma-informed care

  • Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced collaborative environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data tracking tools

Preferred

  • Masters degree in Social Work Public Health or a related field

  • Experience managing cross-sector partnerships and/or working with government and nonprofit systems

  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking

  • Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

  • The select candidate should expect to work on-site in Kensington for the majority of the workweek and reliable transportation is required to visit multiple sites.
