Position Responsibilities:
Operational Risk Governance
- Update and administer operational risk management policies processes and systems to ensure compliance with the Enterprise/Operational Risk Management framework
- Focus on key risk domains Third-Party and Outsourcing Risks Technology Risk Information Security Risk and Business Continuity
Resilience Risk Identification Reporting
- Collaborate with business units to identify assess and report operational risk exposures ensuring risks are managed within defined tolerances
- Provide local support for Singapore risk committees Facilitate development of remedial plans when risk exposures exceed or approach tolerance levels Program Implementation
- Monitoring Work closely with Asia Risk Management and assist the AVP/Director in overseeing the operational risk management program to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
- Manage IT Security and Cybersecurity risk assessments ensuring compliance with global security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) efforts in overseeing resilience planning conducting periodic tests and ensuring readiness for operational disruptions.
- Provide effective third-party risk monitoring and assess third-party relationships to identify evaluate and mitigate potential risks including financial operational compliance and reputational risks.
- Support key activities such as quarterly audit learnings risk and control assessments incident management/reporting and scenario analysis.
Risk Culture Training
- Assist in developing and delivering communication and education initiatives to foster a strong risk-aware culture across MLS.
- Ensure employees officers and agents understand and comply with operational risk policies through regular risk coordinator briefings and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business (Risk Management) Finance Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operational risk management within financial services
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks regulatory requirements and governance practices relating to information security and business continuity management
- Proven experience in managing risks associated with third-party relationships is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic and critical thinking with attention to detail
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic environment
