Job Summary
Senior Clerk / Clerk Iin the Department of Surgery School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534266) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma with at least 10 years solid work experience or possess a Bachelors degree with at least 5 years relevant work experience in tertiary institution preferably in field related to medicine and should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good IT knowledge and competence in office applications including Chinese word processing; strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. They should also be detail-oriented self-motivated and be able to prioritize multi-tasks efficiently and produce quality outputs under pressure and tight deadlines. Those with lower qualification and less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk I.
The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support to professor and clinical staff handle correspondences with complete independence co-ordinate meetings and overseas trips assist in undergraduate education surgical trainings and professional examinations organization of events and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
