Job Summary

Location: 100% travel across Canada

Job Description:

Delivery Coordination:

  • Coordinate the delivery of wind turbine major and minor components and construction tooling.
  • Review transport routes to ensure compliance with delivery specifications and to prevent delays during delivery and offloading.
  • Act as Main Point of Contact for all trucks and drivers arriving to site to ensure crews are ready to receive and offload and mitigate unknown arrival of equipment.


Inspection and Inventory:

  • Coordinate inspection receipt and inventory of components and tooling on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries paperwork and inventory status.
  • Identify damages to trucks and potential delays


Returns and Shipping:

  • Coordinate and support shipping frame and tooling returns.


Site Infrastructure:

  • Monitor and report status of project access/string roads storage areas and pad sites.
  • Review project site infrastructure to ensure readiness for deliveries.

Performance Tracking & Documentation:

  • Track logistics performance and maintain documentation for deliveries time tracking HSE incidents and other relevant data.


Communication & Issue Resolution:

  • Communicate delivery and shipment status to project stakeholders working closely with the Logistics Project Manager (remote manager) to accurately review and distribute information.
  • Resolve logistical issues and project roadblocks proactively.


Planning & Meetings:

  • Participate in daily logistics calls and onsite meetings as directed by the Logistics Project Manager/Site Manager.
  • Support development of the daily delivery plan and provide daily reports to Site Manager for planned deliveries in the coming days and week.


Additional Support:

  • Assist with site inspections prior to deliveries.
  • Provide support for transport roads laydown yards ports and shippers as requested.

Works includes:

  • Morning meeting (.5 hour) / Preparation / End of Day
  • Drive timeonsite
  • Time stamped photos must be included at the time of work performed.
  • Each team member must report to site and have the correct tooling for the job to invoice.
  • Daily Tech Tracker timesheet.

Equipment CONTRACTOR will provide:

  • Vehicle (equivalent to F150)
  • Laptop
  • Smartphone with recent Android or IOS system and good photo capacity
  • Cellular Reception Device


Training:

All certifications must be valid upon arrival and throughout project duration.

  • Down Tower Work
  • First Aid/CPR
  • PPE
  • Fire Prevention & Extinguishers
  • Materials Handling*
  • Slips/Trips/Falls (Housekeeping)
  • ASP Training (Canada only)
  • Site Orientation (upon arrival)
  • Driver training


Specific Skills and Trainings required:

  • Able to read and understand Maintenance and Report Instructions.
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to track and manage large amount of documentation.
  • Coordination and planning skills.
  • Great communication skills
  • Upvise experience is a plus
  • Experience in material coordination or logistics in a construction or wind farm environment is a plus.
  • Experience on inventory management practices and procedures is a plus.
  • Experience on oversize load transport is a plus
  • Experience on port operation is a plus
  • Experience on road/civil infrastructure is plus
  • English fluent
  • French is a plus
  • Spanish is a plus
  • ASP Training (Canada only)
