Under the direction of the Director Quality the Quality Control Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for managing the Quality Control teams at three sites in Weil am Rhein and Rheinfelden including the cryo-hub. The position holder drives process and quality improvement initiatives and ensures that QC processes are efficient effective and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Head of Quality Control for the Rheinfelden and Weil am Rhein sites.
  • Ensures resources are planned and utilized effectively to ensure timely delivery.
  • Leads Improvement Projects. Provides leadership enablement and direction to the QC team to ensure that the quality system meets regulatory and business needs for FCS Germany.
  • Quality Systems Review and Improvement: Reviews and improves quality systems by creating or revising procedures to enhance quality reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Planning and Directing QC Functions: Plans organizes and directs QC functions to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Develops goals and objectives for team members to support their growth and development.
  • Ensures QC personnel receive adequate training cGMP training and process-specific knowledge.
  • Performs internal audits and ensures the implementation of appropriate corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
  • Implements risk-based approaches within quality control. Coordinates and conducts regular risk analysis meetings to proactively assess and mitigate risks.
  • Participates in investigations for significant deviations and quality events.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Participates in interdepartmental projects to drive improvements across the organization.
  • Promotes Company Vision: Drives and promotes the company vision setting a high standard for quality.

Hiring Criteria:

  • Prior Quality experience in the pharmaceutical industry or GxP environment
  • Prior personnel leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of EU GMP requirements

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor Degree in a technical field such as Pharmacy Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred
  • GMP QA and QC experience within a pharmaceutical environment

Ability and/or Skills:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Able to develop and motivate a team
