Job Description – QA Executive

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality reliability and performance of our applications/products through manual and automation testing. You will collaborate closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to identify issues define test strategies and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop document and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.

• Perform functional regression integration performance and UI testing across web and mobile applications.

• Identify report and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA Bugzilla).

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

• Validate that business requirements are met and products meet quality standards before release.

• Work on automation frameworks/tools (e.g. Selenium Katalon JUnit TestNG) to reduce manual effort.

• Ensure compliance with QA processes best practices and industry standards.

• Participate in reviews of requirements design and test documentation.

• Provide clear QA reports and testing metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in QA (Manual & Automation Testing).

• Strong understanding of SDLC STLC and defect life cycle.

• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Selenium Katalon JUnit TestNG etc.).

• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (JIRA Trello or similar).

• Knowledge of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries for validation.

• Familiarity with API testing (Postman REST Assured) is an advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter).
