Full time working 4 days per week from 7:00am - 5:30pm with up to an hour flex for start/end time. Day off will vary. Call is very 9th weeknight and every 9th weekend
Pay Range
$26.55 - $39.85Performs a variety of preparatory scrubbing and related services necessary to provide patient service in the operating room. Assists with surgical cases in all specialty areas or may specialize in a surgical specialty where applicable. Serves as a First Assistant for basic cases as necessary.
Provides for a clean safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care. Utilizes aseptic surgical techniques in the preparation of materials supplies and equipment for surgical procedures (e.g. assistance with gowning and gloving; preparation and draping of the surgical area; provision of a sterile field instruments suture and related materials; anticipation of the Surgeons needs; passing of instruments and/or supplies; holding of retractors observing and reporting possible breaks in aseptic technique; and assisting in maintaining a sterile dry unobstructed field).
Performs all types of procedures and maintains advanced knowledge of a variety of procedures. Specializes in a surgical specialty area where applicable serving as a resource to others and assisting with complex surgical cases.
Ensures the environmental disinfection safety and efficiency of the operating room. This includes setting up the room for each case including moving equipment (i.e. tables cameras microscopes fracture table and instrument pans) operating the various types of equipment used during operating room procedures and returning equipment post procedure.
Functions as a First or Second Assistant as necessary. This includes but is not limited to holding retractors cauterizing application of surgical dressings and wound closure under the direct guidance of a surgeon.
Notifies appropriate staff of equipment and supply problems.
Transports patients and/or equipment and supplies.
Maintains a specialty cart or item ensuring its completeness and availability. This includes checking the working condition of equipment sterility and sending damaged items out for repair.
Acts as a resource and precepts Surgical Technologists I and/or participates in department or facility committees or work teams.
Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique.
Scheduled Hours
Full time working 10 hour shifts from 7:00a - 5:30pm with variable day off. Start time may flex up to an hour earlier/later depending on case is one weeknight per week andevery 9th weekend.

Licenses & Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providerscertification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Degrees
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
Required Functional Experience
Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Surgical Technologist position.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Completion of a suturing class approved by in all surgical specialties with expertise in a minimum of knowledge and skill of aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of materials supplies and equipment for various surgical procedures and ability to anticipate and recognize physicians needs and changes that require unplanned or unanticipated interventions and respond customer service and interpersonal computer proficiency.
