The School of Kinesiology invites applications for a sessional faculty position with an anticipated start date of May 1 2026. Contingent on qualifications the successful candidate will be added to the existing sessional instructor pool.

The primary teaching responsibilities will involve lecture and/or labs in Human Anatomy (KIN 170) Introduction to Exercise Physiology (KIN 163) Topics in Human Nutrition (KIN 260) Human Physiology I (KIN 270) and Human Physiology II (KIN 272).

We are seeking an individual who has experience teaching at the undergraduate level (or other relatable experience); who understands scholarly activity (which could include but are not confined to research community outreach curriculum development science communication etc.) that fit within the School of Kinesiology and Faculty of Heath Sciences; who is committed to Indigenization equity diversity and inclusion; who is eager to work collaboratively and contribute to a culture of excellence within the School of Kinesiology and Faculty of Heath Sciences; and who is committed to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a masters degree in Kinesiology or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution (although PhD is preferred).
  • Previous teaching experience with anatomy physiology and/or related courses
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to Indigenization equity diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to teach Kinesiology labs (e.g. physiology exercise physiology)
