Reporting to the Supervisor HR Processing we are seeking a Clerk IV to join our Human Resources department in Edmonton for a 6-month opportunity. The Clerk IV forms part of a team that manages the timely and accurate processing of employee pay transactions in Oracle HCM. This position is responsible for performing specialized administrative support for the Employee Resource Center team. The Clerk IV role works in a high volume/fast paced environment which requires strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Support ERC business functions and specialized administrative processes (e.g. entering and maintaining employee and position data in the HRIS system within Oracle; including new hires global transfers assignment changes)
Create and maintain routine and ad hoc reports in support of the ERC function (e.g. Oracle HCM and Kronos).
Compile and analyze data and make recommendations (e.g. understand all collective agreements and validate information before entering in Oracle)
Update and maintain employee files policies and procedures along with electronic filing on a regular basis
Develop and implement specialized administrative processes and conduct continuous improvement activities
Participate in cross-functional activities and/or processes (e.g. work with groups to identify workflow or procedural issues to improve operations decrease turnaround times streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service)
Troubleshoot moderately complex issues and make recommendations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum of 3 years related experience (e.g. Payroll and HR Administration)
Completion of PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or CPA (Canadian Payroll Association) certification is an asset
Experience with Oracle or other HCM systems will be considered an asset
Expert level skills in the use of computer applications (MS Office)
Demonstrated success managing a large volume of work while delivering a quality product with a focus on the customer experience
Exceptional interpersonal customer service and communication skills (both oral and written)
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
