Pacific Coast Distribution Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. As a Payroll Clerk you will be responsible for processing and managing payroll for our employees ensuring accurate and timely payments. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for all employees including calculating hours worked overtime bonuses and deductions
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain employee records and update changes in salary benefits and personal information
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any issues
- Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee information and payroll data
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations and make necessary changes to processes and procedures
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify any discrepancies or trends
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in Canada
- Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
