Job Duties

PSR Techs provide individual and group activities to ensure that patients are provided with a rich and diverse offering of engagement experiences and under the direction of the Therapy Manager I ensures that these activities are coordinated with other elements of treatment. PSR Techs support the general milieu by providing supplies and materials for on-unit engagement and prepare and deliver sensory and activity boxes to support coping.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of human growth child development and the family system.
Knowledge of positive behavior management and behavior motivation techniques.
Specialized knowledge in principles and techniques of group facilitation fostering positive intrapersonal relationships and conflict resolution.
Ability to assess plan conduct and document active treatment interventions for children and adolescents using multi-modal techniques and ability to adapt activities and interventions to varying patient needs.
Ability to evaluate and report childrens progress to other clinical team members including psychiatrists psychologists nurses social workers therapists and direct care staff.
