About the Role
The position is responsible for leading and guiding all aspects of Manufacturing Business Unit for Suzhou manufacturing plant drive all kinds of programs to launch successfully in Suzhou plant to well meet customers satisfactions.
What You Will Do
- Manage full lifecycle of Amplifier Head unit Display LGA programs etc. from PV to EOL. Communicate with customers on launch status meet customers satisfaction and gain customers approval.
- Foster positive environment to create high-performance team; Lead and coach team members in the right direction and do the right things keep team with high morale.
- Lead PMO group to cope with CPM PMO team on process standardization and improvement for plant to smoothen plant project management process and procedure through PV IPSO EPSO SOP and EOL.
- Define tasks to be performed by cross-functional team during launch. Use task list to create a work breakdown structure. Use work breakdown structure to establish program schedule.
- Ensure prompt decision-making is executed by promoting consensus decisions interviewing when consensus decision-making fails and making unilateral decisions in the case of a deadlock.
- Lead team meetings by establishing an agenda monitoring discussion to ensure adherence to agenda promoting a free exchange of ideas challenging the pre-conceptions of team-members finishing the meeting in a timely fashion and publishing meeting minutes.
- Establish and manage project budget.
- Interact with all internal functions and negotiate resource allocations from functional managers. When a resource conflict occurs negotiate a solution with functional managers.
- Serve as lead project interface with customer.
- Identify program issues as early as possible and drive resolution at the team level. If resolutions requires management intervention escalate to appropriate management personnel with proposed alternatives.
- Provide monthly reports in requested format.
- Responsible for business planning for existing business and uncover new opportunities.
- Communicate information across customer organization and Harman organizations.
- Establish relations with all necessary groups in the customer organization to realize the successful execution of the Harman sales/delivery strategy. Provides introductions and opportunities for sales team and other Harman teams to interact with customers on all appropriate levels.
- Work with OEM customer and research on market to develop long term sales forecast for each product in order to reduce unnecessary stocks in Harman Suzhou and increase inventory turns.
- Actively seek opportunities for Harman Suzhou to expand our business with all customers. Use good judgment to discern where Harman production should be assigned to realize cost savings for Harman.
- Work closely with PM to ensure the development proceeds in line with operation strategy such as Harman new product launch site selection etc.
- Work in conjunction with OEM project team Production Planning and Vehicle Operations to increase sales volume.
- Develops a marketing strategy that effectively markets the organization and educates our customers on our various brands and technologies and their functionality.
- Manager back-end Harman Suzhou operational issues to font-end corporate sales and marketing.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelors degree or equivalent preferably in engineering.
- Minimum 15 years related experience in automotive disciplines (e.g. Engineering Technical Management Quality Manufacturing etc.).
- PMP certification preferred.
- Solid oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Experience in staffing leadership development employee relations strategic planning and project management.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Understanding and working in matrix organizations that have centralized and de-centralized structures as business requirements change.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently take initiative and perform effectively in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
- Clear and strategic thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans.
- Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion.
- Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization.
