The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) Accounting plays a vital role in financial reporting accounting analysis and decision support. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements supporting month-end and year-end close processes and facilitating the annual external audit and income tax return preparation. Additionally the SFA helps enhance and maintain internal controls while overseeing key accounting processes such as inventory management and Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance. This role collaborates closely with Accounting FP&A cross-functional teams and external partners to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
In this role you will:
- Support financial reporting month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations supporting schedules and journal entries.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of the month end budget to actual analysis.
- Coordinate and manage the annual financialaudit process acting as the key liaison between the company and external auditors.
- Assist indrafting financial statements footnotes and disclosures in compliance with ASPE.
- Address auditor inquiries provide supporting documentation and resolve audit findings in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation and review of corporate tax returns including gathering necessary financial data for tax filings.
Oversee inventory and bill of material (BOM) processes including collaborating with Operations to improve inventory controls and reporting.
Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance.
Support treasury functions including payments AR and AP
Were genuinelyexcited about you because you have:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3-4 years of experience . Experience with a Big Four Accounting Firm is a plus.
- CPA certification (completed or in progress).
- Required two or three days in Downtown Toronto office.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with auditors tax advisors and internal teams.

Compensation:
The hiring range for this role is $85000$95000 CAD annually with final compensation thoughtfully aligned to your experience skills and the value you bring. At Open Farm we know great people dont always fit a mold so role scope and compensation may evolve to reflect your unique strengths. This position may also include additional rewards such as performance-based bonuses and other incentives.
