Atrium Health Levine Cancers Radiation Oncologyoutpatient services provide advanced patient-centered care using cutting-edge radiation therapy to treat cancer. With 10 sites across the Charlotte market each clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including linear accelerators and image-guided systems allowing for precise targeting of cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. A highly skilled team of radiation oncologists nurses dosimetrists and radiation therapistswork collaboratively to deliver personalized treatment plans that minimize side effects and optimize outcomes.

  • Advanced Treatment Modalities: IMRT IGRT SBRT brachytherapy proton beam and gamma knife therapies.
  • Multidisciplinary Care: Seamless coordination with medical and surgical oncology teams.

Were Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Oncology and triage experience

What Youll Do:

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess plan diagnose implement and evaluate nursing care engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
  • Monitors patient conditions adjusts care plans mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluates patient team and unit outcomes taking action as needed.
  • Maintains accurate timely EHR documentation.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed furtherin the departmental job standards.
