Job Summary
Key Obsessions:
- Operate Equipment Efficiently
- Perform secondary router operations including cleaning prepping deburring countersinking and tapping.
- Operate table saws drill presses flex arms and related power hand tools to support router production.
- Accurately record part movement and material usage in the ERP system.
- Monitor workflow and adjust processes as needed to maintain efficiency and minimize delays.
- Produce Quality Parts
- Inspect parts for dimensional and visual accuracy to meet specifications.
- Identify and record issues in SharePoint to support corrective action workflows.
- Follow standard work practices to ensure consistency precision and on-time delivery.
- Communicate quality concerns promptly and collaborate with team members to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain Equipment and Safety
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move and stage materials.
- Perform routine housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in top condition.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Core Accountabilities:

- Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety improve productivity reduce costs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors representing Aagard accurately and positively.
- Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experince
- Ability to read and understand the proper use of measuring instruments
- Ability to read CAD drawings and blueprints
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Basic shop math skills as rounding positive/negative numbers metric system
- Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Must be highly safety conscious
- Observant with attention to detail
- Conscientious of meeting and exceeding the internal customer requirements
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Passion for excellence
- Value and build a culture of measurement
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stoop kneel crouch crawl or climb
