Job Summary

Key Obsessions:

  • Operate Equipment Efficiently
  • Perform secondary router operations including cleaning prepping deburring countersinking and tapping.
  • Operate table saws drill presses flex arms and related power hand tools to support router production.
  • Accurately record part movement and material usage in the ERP system.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust processes as needed to maintain efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Produce Quality Parts
  • Inspect parts for dimensional and visual accuracy to meet specifications.
  • Identify and record issues in SharePoint to support corrective action workflows.
  • Follow standard work practices to ensure consistency precision and on-time delivery.
  • Communicate quality concerns promptly and collaborate with team members to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain Equipment and Safety
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move and stage materials.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in top condition.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
  • Identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

  • Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety improve productivity reduce costs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors representing Aagard accurately and positively.
  • Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experince
  • Ability to read and understand the proper use of measuring instruments
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Basic shop math skills as rounding positive/negative numbers metric system
  • Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be highly safety conscious
  • Observant with attention to detail
  • Conscientious of meeting and exceeding the internal customer requirements
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Passion for excellence
  • Value and build a culture of measurement
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stoop kneel crouch crawl or climb
