Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering & Product Development this role you will be responsible for researching designing and developing mechanical products and systems-including instruments controls robots engines and thermal systems-aimed at improving our organizations energy transmission measurement and utilization. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems from planning and testing to installation operation and maintenance ensuring that quality safety reliability and performance standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will apply industry standards leverage technical knowledge and work within established procedures to solve standard problems and contribute to innovative solutions that support our organizational goals.
Your responsibilities
- Develop designs for production of material handling equipment and other metal fabrications
- Review project proposals and customer specifications to determine scope of supply
- Interpret customer requirements and engineer a cost-effective solution based on industry standards
- Research and select appropriate components for use in material handling equipment
- Produce bills of material and design fabrication drawings for material handling equipment
- Complete required work within the required schedule and budget
- Perform product maintenance by selecting new components and updating documentation
- Provide detailed technical support to customers manufacturing sales and field service
Your qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related
- 3D CAD experience PTC Creo and Autodesk Inventor are preferred
- Prior SAP or ERP experience a plus
