The successful candidate will be part of the Route & Overflight Department in Flight Operations Division. He/She will be taking on the following responsibilities and should possess the below requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee route planning activities of all SIA flights which include study of routes payloads flight time and fuel burn.
Oversee the Flight Planning System and liaise with vendor for flight planning requirements.
Ensure that flight planning data comprising of routes flight planning rules airport data obstacle data aircraft parameters and flight restrictions are correctly maintained.
Oversee seasonal ad-hoc and charters overflight applications and approvals of SIA flights.
Provide operational support to Fleet Management and Flight Dispatch during catastrophic disruptions to operations for example volcanic eruptions typhoons airspace closures. This includes investigating and responding to technical queries and issues raised by operating crew.
Administer Operational Specifications when required by foreign civil aviation authorities.
Coordinate with Flight Management System (FMS) provider on navigation databases of aircraft. Plan budget and monitor FMS navigation service contract.
Perform obstacle data analysis and support Fleet Management on airport chart requirements.
Support airspace security review by monitoring security assessments and flight movements.
Administer overflight invoices to ensure timely payment of air navigation charges.
Requirements
Possess a University Bachelors degree in any discipline. Those with aeronautical engineering or technical background will be advantageous.
Good understanding of flight operations. Experience in flight planning would be advantageous.
Highly numerate with good IT skills
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Good communication skills
