Performance Objectives for Year One:

Re-architect and Optimize Core Data Pipelines: Within the first 6 months review and refactor existing complex SQL queries and stored procedures to improve query performance by 20% and ensure 99.9% data integrity for critical financial reporting.
Automate Business-Critical Reporting: Lead the migration of manual reporting processes into automated dynamic dashboards using Power BI and SSRS effectively reducing the time-to-insight for the finance and operations teams by 30% by year-end.
Design and Deploy Robust ETL Processes: Design and implement scalable ETL workflows using SSIS and Python to seamlessly integrate data from various external sources into the central data warehouse ensuring zero downtime during data loads.
Drive Data Governance & Security Standards: Establish and document a comprehensive database maintenance backup and security protocol within the first 90 days to mitigate risk and align with global compliance standards.
Enable Self-Service Analytics: Build and document a user-friendly semantic data model that empowers non-technical business units to perform their own ad-hoc analysis without constant dependency on IT.
