As Logistics Manager you hold end-to-end responsibility for the complete logistics chain at our Hoogezand site: from the raw materials warehouse and finished goods warehouse through the palletizing department. You ensure safe reliable and efficient logistics operations that directly contribute to our service levels cost control and customer satisfaction.
You combine visible day-to-day presence on the shop floor with a strategic end-to-end supply chain perspective. Together with your departments and fellow MT members you continuously optimize processes reduce losses across the chain and prepare the logistics organization for further growth and investments including new palletizing technology.
Operational leadership: You manage the daily operations of the logistics departments (raw materials warehouse finished goods warehouse palletizing department) and safeguard safety quality predictability and performance.
Safety & continuous improvement: You foster a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas such as service inventory and cost supported by clear KPIs.
People & organizational development: You actively develop the skills of your team (both white- and blue-collar) through skill matrices coaching training and clear performance and behavioral expectations. We are a learning organization meaning every employee spends 5% of their time on learning and continuous improvement.
End-to-end chain optimization:You identify bottlenecks and losses in the logistics chain by collaborating with suppliers transport partners and central planning. You translate these insights into concrete improvement actions.
Capacity & network decisions: You analyze future warehouse capacity needs (internal and external) and prepare solid data-based proposals for the MT and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder management & MT collaboration: You play an active role in MT meetings collaborate closely with Operations Safety Quality HR and central departments and represent logistics in central committees and presentations.
Projects & investments: You are a key stakeholder (sponsor) in logistics improvement and investment projects such as the implementation of new palletizers and the further professionalization and automation of processes and systems. You also hold budget responsibility.
You have at least a completed bachelors degree ideally in logistics supply chain management or a comparable field.
You bring at least 5 years of experience in logistics/supply chain and 810 years of leadership experience in a large production or warehouse environment preferably at MT level or comparable.
You have proven experience with modern warehouse systems and logistics technology (for example palletizing lines) and enjoy working with KPIs around safety quality service and cost.
You combine a strategic and analytical mindset with a hands-on mentality: you are visibly present on the shop floor strong in change management and process optimization skilled at building trust with various stakeholders and capable of developing coaching and engaging teams through change.
You have experience with Total Productive Maintenance work processes to manage daily operations: setting priorities maintaining a clean and organized workplace reporting and resolving defects and preventing breakdowns.
