Customer Contact Officer

About The Role:

The Customer Contact Team operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm. Working as part of a dynamic team you will ensure the first interaction with our customers over the phone face to face and online is positive and professional with a focus on building positive relationships and offering unique and innovative solutions to provide the best customer experience.

About You:

Youre a people-focused communicator who takes pride in delivering friendly accurate and timely customer service. Confident in engaging with customers by phone email or in person you bring a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help. Youre proactive in finding ways to improve processes and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for customers and stakeholders alike.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A growth mindset be a great problem solver and a collaborative team player who is flexible and open to new ideas and concepts.
• Excellent communication with a strong customer service focus and professional work ethic.
• Experience in a customer service role involving cash handling and call centre.
• Confidence using CRM and contact centre platforms experience with Salesforce Genesys Cloud.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and busy team environment.

About Our Team:

Customer Contact are committed to providing excellent support to our community on essential services in our City. Based at our Civic Centre front counter this dynamic team listen and respond to the needs of our community through in-person phone and web support.

The Detail:

An opportunity exists for a fixed-term contract position until December 2026 available either full-time or part-time. The position is classified at Level 3 with a starting salary of $85929 per annum (pro-rata if part-time) Super Annual Leave Loading.

In addition there is an on-call casual role available to provide leave coverage and support during peak call periods on an ad-hoc basis. The position is classified at Level 3 with an hourly rate starting at $44.06 (inclusive of casual loadings).
