Job Summary
The Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Laboratory (BTIL) under the leadership of Dr. Bryan D. Choi is seeking a talented postdoctoral fellow to join the group and help advance novel experimental cellular immunotherapies for cancers such as glioblastoma. Situated within the Department of Neurosurgery and Cancer Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) the BTIL is a leading group conducting cutting-edge research to develop novel immune-based therapeutics for malignant brain tumors including CAR T cells antibody & viral-based therapeutics and beyond. Utilizing state-of-the-art in vitro and animal models of brain tumors the BTIL leverages interdisciplinary experience across neurosurgery pathology basic immunology and clinical research to validate promising experimental therapies for malignant brain tumors and translate them into human clinical trials.Qualifications
PhD or MD with focus in immunology oncology neurology/neuroscience cell therapy molecular biology or a related discipline.
Direct experience with CAR T cells in vitro immunologic assays flow cytometry and murine tumor models is highly desirable.
Experience with single-cell RNA-sequencing spatial biology/transcriptomics or computational/bioinformatic approaches is a plus.
Prior authorship of peer-reviewed publications.
Ability to work independently and contribute significantly to scientific writing and manuscripts.
Meticulous attention to detail and labmanagement skills.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
This is a full-time on-site job at MGHs main campus requiring occasional physical activity (e.g. lifting of lab boxes and materials). Postdoctoral fellows will be appointed through Harvard Medical School (HMS) and will receive a competitive salary and benefit package in accordance with NIH and HMS guidelines.
