Position Summary

Serve as REIN director-economic analysiswith the Nashvilleoffice of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlantareporting to and workingclosely with theNashvilleRegional Executive and actively collaboratingwith the Atlanta FedsRegional Economic Information Network (REIN) team based across the of focus include core monetary policy responsibilities that are District-wide as wellascoreNashville office responsibilities related to local team needs and geographic footprint in Tennessee.

For the monetary policyarea of focus leadand collaborate onthe REIN teams efforts tocollect and synthesizeDistrict-widequalitativeeconomicdatagathered from key business and community leadersandengagewithsenior executives at the Atlanta Fed including thePresident Research Director and economists to inform monetary Nashvilleoffice-specific responsibilitieswork with theNashvilleREIN teamtopromote theAtlanta Feds public outreach and special projectswithin REIN the Nashvilleteamand the Research the direction of the Research division andbroader Atlanta Fedby ensuring that work is aligned with strategic priorities.

The positionis based inthe Atlanta FedsNashville(orAtlanta officewith regular access/work in the Nashville office).Some travel (largely withinthe Southeast) is expectedat about 20% of time;if positionlocatedin Atlantapercentage of travel time will be higher asmore traveltimeto Nashvilleisexpected for branch board meetings Nashville outreach events and other requirements.

Key Responsibilities

District responsibilities

  • Informingpolicymaking: Synthesize and communicateregional qualitativeeconomic intelligence to inform theAtlanta Feds assessment of the economy and monetary policy deliberations.
  • Technology adoption:Assist inidentifyingimplementingthestrategic use of technologyinREINs economic analysis work.

Nashville office responsibilities

  • Relationships:Work withNashville teamtoidentifyand develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of key businesscommunity academic and state and local government leaders as part of REIN outreach efforts.
  • Outreach:Develop andoccasionallydeliverpresentationsandconductselectinterviews with business and community of senior Fed leaderson visitsto Tennessee.
  • Board of directorsand advisory council:Work withNashvilleRegional Executive and REIN team to recruit and develop theNashvilleBranch Board of Directorsthe Human Capital Advisory Council and other advisory councils as requested.

Education

Bachelors degreerequired;masters degreepreferred (in economicsorrelated field such asbusinessfinanceorpublic policy)or equivalent experience in economics.

Experience

Ideal candidate will havea minimum offive to eight years ofworkexperience.

Knowledge Areas/Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of macroeconomicsand businessprinciples
  • Deep experience witheconomicanalysis particularly qualitative analysis
  • Preference for experience with generative AI datavisualizationsand/orother technologytools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strongstrategicproject managementskills
  • Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)proficiency
