Job Summary

A vacancy subject to formal establishment exists for an OF3-OF4 to serve as a Benefits Manager within the DefHRS Team at MOD Main Building on FTRS(HC) Terms and Conditions of Service with an initial start date of Apr 26 (or earlier if possible).

Unit Function

Defence HR Service Change Programme and delivery of Oracle Fusion Software as a Service.

Position Role

Benefits Managerto define and validate benefit realisation aligned with SDR outcomes.

Responsibilities

The role includes although is not limited to:

  • Define and maintain the programmes benefits framework ensuring alignment with Defence strategic objectives.
  • Identify quantify and validate expected benefits across all workstreams.
  • Work collaboratively with the Delivery Partner ensuring timelines and quality standards are met and all identified risks are managed.
  • Engage with stakeholders to confirm benefit ownership and accountability.
  • Monitor risks and issues that could impact benefit realisation and recommend mitigations.
  • Oversee agile/scrum methodology for iterative design and delivery and manage the integration of agile practices with waterfall delivery for specific programme components.
  • Provide Mil representation and lived experience input and enhance Mil engagement through effective liaison between DefHRS and FLCs.
  • Provide progress updates and dynamic support to wider DefHRS activity and leadership tasks in accordance with sprint priorities.

Accountability

Accountability for this role will depend on the rank of the successful candidate; it is likely to be one of the CS DefHRS Deputy Heads with the Second Reporting Officer being the DefHRS Programme Director.
