MWM is a 45-year Austin-based firm that provides civil engineering architecture land surveying landscape architecture and permitting services across Central Texas. We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team. You will play a key role in accounts payable and accounts receivable support maintain the corporate credit card program and help with various accounting tasks. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving has strong interpersonal skills and has a foundation in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities include:

• Apply deposits to client invoices and research discrepancies.
• Assist with collections and AR reporting for Management.
• Review and process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare AP reports and disbursements on a bi-weekly basis.
• Maintain multiple shared email inboxes.
• Conduct credit card reconciliations; assist with bank reconciliations.
• Assist in identifying and/or developing efficient accounting processes policies and procedures.
• Other general accounting tasks/projects as assigned.

Attributes for this position:

• Minimum education: Associate degree in accounting (Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration preferred.)
• Accounting experience (1-2 years) (AEC experience a plus!)
• Microsoft Office Suite (1-2 years).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Excellent time management communication and collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
