Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and negotiation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and successful project execution by developing procurement strategies and fostering strong supplier relationships. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (such as Quality Project Management and Operations) manage supplier negotiations and performance reviews and much more.

Well look to you for:

• Deploying commodities strategy

• Ensuring project execution in line with Quality Cost and Delivery (QCD) objectives

• Piloting local contractual relationships with suppliers

• Identifying project and business needs

• Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers using the standard tool

• Negotiating cost reductions with suppliers

• Providing inputs for order placement and ensuring QCD target achievement including CONQ (Cost Of Non-Quality) and claims management

• Leading supplier performance reviews and managing initial issues before escalation

• Consolidating commodity needs and actively participating in commodity strategy and panel elaboration

• Supporting Commodity Managers in tender phases and representing commodities towards projects platforms and solutions

• Bachelors degree in Purchasing Business Management or a related field.

• Experience or understanding of procurement strategies supplier development and contract negotiations.

• Knowledge of SAP systems (mandatory).

• Familiarity with operation and maintenance environments and/or services procurements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convince others.

• Negotiation skills.

• Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities autonomously.

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

• Respect for ethical conduct and adherence to Alstoms Code of Ethics.

• Fluent in English.
