Fulfilling a general supervisory role across the Councils Housing Service.
Monitoring the delivery and sustainability of specific areas of service as required.
Contributing to the preparation implementation and review of housing policy as a key part of Housing Services
We want to improve the quality of life of people across Fife and we work with many different organisations including tenants groups to try to make that happen. As a Lead Officer you will supervise work that delivers on improved services
You will be responsible for -
Supervising the delivery of a particular aspect of the service by contributing to the development of strategies and practices which support the Services aims and values all in accordance with appropriate policies and guidance
Assisting the Housing Managers in developing and realising the full potential of employees through effective objective setting performance management and skills development ensuring high standards of service delivery and effective use of resources across all areas of the Service.
Implementing effective means of communication and problem solving ensuring that all results are analysed and applied to promote and maintain high standards of service delivery
Promoting effective partnerships working across the Service and with partner services and organisations ensuring a shared understanding and commitment to quality service delivery
The Person
The job requires a breadth and depth of knowledge including both specialist and organisational knowledge and relevant theory. This knowledge is normally acquired through education professional or vocational qualification on or off-the-job training and relevant work experience.
The minimum qualifications required would be educated to SCQF Level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in Housing or relevant recognised professional qualification.
Before confirming to your appointment you willbe requiredto obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
