Commercial Account Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a motivated and client-focused Commercial Account Manager to join their growing team in Calgary. This role is ideal for a commercial insurance professional who enjoys managing relationships identifying growth opportunities and delivering exceptional service to a diverse commercial client base. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and expanding the commercial portfolio while contributing to overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and retention

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients insurers and internal stakeholders

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to support organic growth

  • Analyze client needs and market trends to recommend appropriate coverage solutions

  • Collaborate closely with sales marketing and internal teams to support commercial initiatives

  • Utilize the Broker Management System (BMS) to manage client interactions documentation and reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to account performance and market activity

  • Support negotiations and renewals while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a commercial insurance role such as Commercial Account Manager or similar

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverage structures

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive solution-oriented mindset with a client-first approach

Education & Licensing

  • Secondary School diploma preferred

  • AIC License required

  • Competitive salary range: $70000 $90000 based on experience
