About the job

The QHSE Manager contributes and drives the organization in order to maintain and develop Quality Health Safety and Environmental management systems according to relevant standards to assess/maintain compliance with QHSE legislation and Alfa Laval QHSE Policies and Strategies.

Coordinate and develop QHSE activities/projects building QHSE mindset and competences in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality Health Safety and Environmental Strategy/Policies.

This is an onsite position located in Greenwood IN.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive and coordinate QHSE projects/activities and spread best practices.
  • Keep risk assessment and environmental analysis updated and in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Develop maintain and improve QHSE management systems with focus on auditing process KPIs management training/competences development SOPs and instructions and improvement projects/activities (ISO /45001).
  • Support line management in their (line management) QHSE accountability and when improving QHSE culture. Guaranteeing customer requirements (if defined) are completely fulfilled.
  • Promote and manage continuous improvement projects/activities in Quality Health & Safety and Environmental areas in particular to prevent any kind of injuries and occupational diseases to prevent and limit the impacts coming from our activities in the environment and in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Strategy.
  • Act to build QHSE mindset and competences in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Strategy/Policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments hazard studies and manage non-conformities implementing corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Perform internal/external audits monitor performance via KPIs and report to senior management.
  • Investigate accidents near misses and environmental incidents reporting findings.
  • Communication with clients suppliers certification and regulatory bodies (e.g. Environment Agency) and internal teams.

What you know:

  • Bachelors degree (Engineering/Science preferred).
  • 5 years of proven experience in manufacturing/engineering setting managing QMS audits risk and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes metrology (CMM) engineering drawings and improvement tools (Lean Six Sigma).
  • Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
