Key Responsibilities:

To support the effective delivery of People & Culture (P&C) operations by managing end-to-end recruitment maintaining accurate personnel records and HRIS data ensuring timely payroll and benefits processing supporting policy implementation and compliance and contributing to employee lifecycle processes including; onboarding exits and employee relationswhile upholding World Vision Lankas (WVL) values standards and legal obligations.

Further this position will also be the first point of contact for any P&C matter for the assigned staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files for assigned staff ensuring confidentiality completeness compliance with internal policies and legal requirements and minimal to no missing documentation at all times.
  • Regularly monitor and update the personnel file checklist to ensure full compliance with organizational and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely updates to staff files following changes in employment status benefits or personal information.
  • Support the review and continuous improvement of People & Culture (P&C) policies procedures and practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with local labour laws.
  • Collaborate with the Business Partner Organisation Development & Learning to prepare and communicate updates on HR policies and procedures to all employees in a clear and timely manner.
  • Conduct research on emerging HR trends best practices and legislative changes to support the development of innovative and compliant HR solutions.
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure all employment practices compensation structures employee benefits and HR programmes are culturally sensitive and compliant with World Vision Lanka standards and national labour regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all payroll and benefits-related information through both the HR Portal and manual processes in line with internal deadlines and compliance standards.
  • Accurately process the monthly payroll cycle including salary adjustments deductions and statutory contributions ensuring alignment with approved data and policies.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes for assigned positions ensuring timely and efficient hiring in alignment with workforce plans.
  • Liaise with hiring managers to understand staffing needs develop job descriptions and define selection criteria.
  • Post job advertisements on internal and external platforms ensuring visibility and alignment with organizational branding.
  • Screen applications shortlist candidates and schedule interviews in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Execute all employee termination procedures including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
  • Represent WVL in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Contribute to a healthy team spirit and team work
  • Adhere to WVL policy and standards and stay committed to WV vision statement and core values.
  • Support investigations and Staff care conversations as assigned by the Senior Manager P&C Operations.

Required qualifications experience & competencies

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources/ Management or related Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • 5 years of sound experience in Human Resources field as an Executive preferably implementing/facilitating level.
  • Effective in written and oral communication in English and Local language/s.
  • This position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as and when needed.
