The Head of People & Office Operations is the senior on-the-ground leader for Link4s Sri Lanka office.
This role is responsible for office leadership people operations and culture ensuring the Colombo team operates with professionalism discipline and clarity when executive leadership is offshore.
This is a traditional HR role combined with a hands-on leadership position requiring authority judgment and the ability to direct senior managers.
Act as the most senior day-to-day leader in the Sri Lanka office
Set and enforce expectations around:
Attendance punctuality and conduct
Professional communication and behavior
Office standards and policies
Lead office-wide communication including:
Town halls
Office announcements
Policy updates
Address behavioral performance or conduct issues early and decisively
Escalate material issues to the CEO or Financial Controller when required
Own end-to-end people operations including:
Recruitment coordination and onboarding
Employment contracts probation and exits
Performance review processes
Leave disciplinary matters and grievances
Ensure compliance with local employment laws and internal policies
Maintain accurate people records and reporting
Support managers with practical people-management guidance
This role focuses on execution. And consistency not HR theory or transformation programs. There will be one other member on the HR team for you to manage and help complete these tasks.
Oversee office operations including:
Facilities and vendors
Office layout and capacity planning
Health & safety compliance
Day-to-day office administration
Manage costs and ensure efficient use of office resources
Plan for office growth in line with headcount increases
Provide direction to Heads of Department on:
Office processes
Team coordination
Behavioral and cultural standards
Act as a neutral authority to resolve cross-team issues
Ensure alignment between teams when senior leadership is remote
Report operational and people matters to the Financial Controller
Provide regular updates to the CEO on:
Culture and morale
Performance risks
Office and people-related issues
Support audits due diligence and governance processes as required
1015 years experience in people operations or office leadership roles
Proven experience managing offices of 50150 staff
Experience working with senior managers and technical teams
Strong understanding of Sri Lankan employment practices
Professional services BPO shared services or technology services
Prior responsibility for both people operations and office management
Calm confident and decisive
Comfortable giving direction to senior staff
